We’d just returned from a cruise called the ‘Pearls of the Western Mediterranean’ and had invited friends over for dinner. Of course, they wanted to know all about our trip. ‘Where exactly were you?’,
‘What different places did you go to?’, ‘Which one was your favourite?’
I picked up my old atlas and found the page with the starting point of our trip: Genoa. With my finger tracing the map, I pointed out our route and all the stops.
But our entire route wasn’t on just one page of the atlas, so I had to keep leafing back and forth. We ended up showing our friends pictures on our smartphones.
Since we had taken over 450 pictures, we had to swipe endlessly to show them the best one or two snaps of each destination – after all, we would rather not torture our friends with all 450 pictures.
After dinner, once our friends had left, I decided that the next ime, I would present our trip in an entirely different way: It would be more compact and emotionally riveting.
I remembered seeing a nautical chart depicting a route taken by James Cook. That’s exactly how I wanted to present our beautiful ocean voyage. And so, the idea of the CruiseMap was born.
Our servers run on alternative energies, the CruiseMap is printed on chlorine-free paper, and all our shipping complies with the Green Label initiative.
The production of the CruiseMap, manual editing and shipping are carried out exclusively in Germany

Before your order is finalized, you will receive preview of your digital CruiseMap, where you can check the placement of the images and text. The print job only takes place after your approval.
